Integral Theory & Metamodernism - Differences, Commonalities, Openings | Live Podcast Recording

Voicecraft Network is hosting a live podcast recording with Brendan Graham Dempsey and Bruce Alderman, who are well known and highly respected for their knowledge and contributions to the Metamodern and Integral discourses, respectively.

Bruce is a general thinker, spiritual practitioner, and respected Elder of the Integral community (see the Voicecraft Elder Circle with Bruce, episode 82, here). Brendan is the author of the books Emergentism: A Religion of Complexity for the Metamodern World and Metamodernism: Or, the Cultural Logic of Cultural Logics. 

Recently Brendan and Bruce have shared a back and forth around the relations of lineage between Metamodernism and Integral theory. This led to the perception of a real energy of difference ripe to explore for generative understanding.

Tim Adalin will join Brendan and Bruce for a conversation to relate with some of this energy. The aim will be to presence an atmosphere of inquiry in a context of a general set of questions, such that you don't need to be too familiar with either Integral or Metamodernism to follow along.

This session invites members to join, listen along, and participate in the final section. The first 60-90 minutes of the session will run in 'audience mode', where all listener videos and mics will be turned off.

The final 30-60 minutes will open up to questions and reflections.

The purpose of the second and final section isn't just to be a traditional Q&A forum, but to attempt to participate in the conversation itself. That can come in many forms, and any sort of clarification question is absolutely welcome. Tremendous openness is invited, constrained by mutual care and sensitivity for the integrity of the conversation present (of which you're own positionality is a distinct and dignified aspect). In that context, left or right turns are welcome.
